In its drive for excellence for their Information Technology (IT) instructors, the DMC College Foundation College of Computer Studies (CCS) under the leadership of its dean, Dr. Gerald Concha, sent a representative to the National Instructor’s Conference held at the Boracay Regency Hotel last June 16 to 18.

The DMC CCS department representative for the three-day event was Engr Dario Lacaya in an all-expenses-paid trip to the Summer Capital in the Philippines.

The first day was used for the registration of the delegates from all over the country and was highlighted by the President’s Report.

The second day was used for the session proper which featured a Networking Academy for Asia Pacific Focus and Philippine Focus, Future Assessment and Gaming, Data Center of the Future – Cloud Computing, and a team-building session.

The third and final day featured a recap of sessions in Day one and two, a Networking Academy with Global Focus, an Instructor Professional Development, a session on Collaboration in Technological Standpoint and in Educational Standpoint, break out sessions and the closing program.

“It was such an eye-opening experience. The technology, the expertise of the instructors is mind-boggling. I hope that we can have the same here in DMC in the future. And considering the progressive stance of DMC officials, I’m very positive that we can achieve such lofty status in the IT world in the future,” Lacaya said.
